I'm so thankful to have the privilege of attending the World Fashion Organization dinner party on Saturday. It was a wrap up of the fashion week in bayelsa state and I must say it featured a lot of creative and innovative designers.
Although there was a frighteningly long delay before the event started, I was impressed by the efforts Bayelsa made towards the fashion event.
I was both entertained and inspired by the show as it featured new age African designers like Botocy from Botswana, Zizi Cardow from Nigeria, Jose House of Creation from Uganda.

I was a bit let down by the fact that we didn't have a lot of designers from Bayelsa State especially in the menswear aspect, but it was all good. Hopefully, that'll be fixed by the introduction of the first World Fashion University in Bayelsa state in a few years time.
We're not certain of when it will be launched but it sounds encouraging. Although having a university with only Fashion as it's main subject is not exactly a typical feature of a university, I would have preferred it to be called a Fashion Institute or College but that's my opinion.
I could only take a few pics - I'm actually saving up for a real camera so forgive the 'non-HD' pictures.
This was my favourite outfit of the day from the event; she looked so beautiful in the grey corporate dress with pink floral details. It flattered her figure and height and the hair was simply amazing.
I got to meet these two crazy board members of the local organizing committee for this event - very bubbly and excitable.
Here are some of the highlights of the show.
That's a wrap - but before I leave, let me take a selfie.
